Description

We think smoothness is a coffee virtue.  We define a smooth coffee as one without dominant jolts of sour or bitterness that linger on the palate and interfere with complexity.  We refine our roast recipes to highlight the complexity of the coffee and provide a velvety experience.  This coffee is perfect for El Padre’s roast objective.  You will taste each note with a bright backdrop to enliven each one. Make you feel like a seasoned professional who has been evaluating and cupping coffees for a lifetimeYou will realize that you now better understand what the fuss is about.  You are tasting the roasted almonds, caramelized cane sugar, and citrus zest. This is a message from coffee’s higher power reminding you that quality matters.

This roast will extract beautifully in a drip machine or pour over.  Dial in the right grind, and your espresso machine will deliver velvet.  This coffee will respond to your practiced preparation.  Try an iced coffee preparation and experience exceptional smoothness.

THE FLAVOR PROFILE

TASTING NOTES

The washed and sundried processing puts producer in control of her beans. Fermented, washed multiple times, and then spread to dry in the sun, the process is controlled by meticulous farmers rather than a large processing enterprise. You are tasting the cooperative’s best. Look for roasted almond, sugar cane, and citrus. Experience a smooth mouthfeel and cheerful afterglow. Sweetness up front, nuttiness in back, bright citrus throughout. Full bodied and unapologetic.
